Assistance with Travel and Transport Arrangements (NDIS Support Category 0108) helps participants get to appointments, activities and community settings safely and confidently.
Transport Support Options
- Accompanying participants in AHK Care vehicles or the participant’s own vehicle
- Training to use public transport independently (buses, trains, ferries)
- Booking and coordinating taxis and rideshare services
- Transport to medical appointments, therapy sessions and NDIS meetings
- Travel to work, education, social activities and community events
- Planning accessible travel routes
Building Travel Independence
Where possible, we work with participants to build their own travel independence — learning to use public transport, plan journeys and travel confidently without a support worker. This builds skills and frees up funding for other supports.
Accessible Vehicles
We can arrange transport in wheelchair-accessible vehicles where required. Please discuss your specific transport needs with our team when you get in touch.
